Child Abuse
Abuse of a child can take different forms, and a child may suffer from one or more forms of abuse at the same time. The types of abuse are:

  • Physical abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Neglect

98% of abusers are men, and are known to the child.

Domestic Abuse
This occurs between a married couple, or relationship partners. The abuse is usually perpetrated by the person who feels dominant in the relationship, and who attempts to intimidate the other person with abusive language, put downs, hitting, pushing or other physical attacks.
